This song is dedicated to promoting the right of people to exist as sanctuaries unto themselves all over the world. As it happens, I live in a "sanctuary city" - a city of immigrants- where you are more likely to see people of all colors from Peru to Azerbaijan. People from Mexico, Turkey and Syria. Brown people. Black people. and even a few white people. The point is, I don't feel like a stranger. I feel like a fellow traveller who happens to follow their dream wherever it leads. I hope this song and video serves to remind that we are all "immigrants" and that we all belong to the same family.

On a musical note, this song gave me the opportunity to record with one of my favorite drummers of all time. Bernard Purdie is a legend and one the most recorded drummers in modern history. He has played with everyone from Aretha Franklin to the Rolling Stones. Bob Dylan and Ray Charles. (see enclosed link) Besides his credits and impeccable feel, I can happily say he is as sensitive and powerful as any musician I have ever played with.

So I am thrilled to share this with all of you! I hope you hear it and love it- and if you do, please share it with everyone you can.
